Google Voice

Google Voice is one of the best options to make free online phone calls to U.S  an Canada. With Google Voice, you can make free PC to phone calls (by using  Google Talk browser plugin), and free PC to PC calls (also through Google Talk).

Initially the service offering of free calls was due to end in Dec 2011 but according this news release on google voice blog , below , they are going to continue it through 2012 too.

Time limit for Free phone calls with Google Voice is three hours. However, same number can be called to over and over again.

EvaPhone

EvaPhone is yet another free Internet phone calling service. With EvaPhone  you dont need to download anything to your computer , Evaphone lets you make free calls via Flash-based interface “Dial-pad” right on their website. The drawback is that the call duration is very short.

The uniqueness of EvaPhone is that they offer you to call nearly any phone throughout the entire world for free. Time duration for the free calls may range from 10 seconds to about one minute in length, depending on the receivers destination. Another limitation is that you are allowed only two free calls per 24 hours.

After dialing a number on EvaPhone, your free call will begin after watching a short video advertisement and once the call begins, a countdown timer will begin so you are aware when your call will be disconnected.

EvaPhone may not be the best choice to make a free call on the Internet, but if you need to convey someone a really short message and you  don’t have your own phone  or don’t want to pay for the call or download software, EvaPhone might be the perfect free Internet phone for you.

Tuitalk

The last time i checked , Tuitalk website was inaccessible, I don’t know whether they have ended their services or are offline temporarily. They are also out of Google search index. How ever I still would discuss briefly their services. Tuitalk is another free Internet phones service provider that works in a way similarly to EvaPhone , however,  downloading their free Internet phone software is necessary to use this Tuitalk free call service.

Free phone calls can be made to around 40 countries via the Tuitalk. limitations on the number of minutes per call and the total number of calls per 24 hours vary from country to country. For most countries,  the duration of free Internet phone call can be up-to six minutes.

On  Tuitalk too, watching several seconds of a high-quality video advertisement is mandatory before your free call is connected,.

iCall

Another service for making free internet phone calls is icall. Free calls from PC to phone can be made using their free software.

You can call only to phone numbers located in the United States or Canada from anywhere in the world. You can’t make free phone calls using iCall to other countries

 

iCall provides free desktop application for Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux and free app for  iPhone is also available. Duration of free phone calls via icall only five minutes but you can call back again as many times as you want. You will also have to listen to a ten seconds long  advertisement before every call.

If you dont want to download the Application an alternative  flash-based version Dial-pad of iCall is also available on their website but there the time limit of each call is three minutes only.
